Over this two week period you can enjoy the annual Stroud Fringe Music Festival, Walking Festival, Food Festival, Eco Renovation Homes Festival and the Festival of Nature.

The Festival of Nature will be linking in some way to all of the other festivals, in particular the Walking Festival.

It is estimated that around 3,000 people visted the Festival last year. They wandered around the stalls,
took part in actvities, dug a pond, had picnics on the grass and explored the Park, a first for many of them.

Many of the County’s most well known conservation and wildlife organisations were there, such as WWT Slimbridge, Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, Westonbirt, Butterfly Conservation, National Trust, Stroud Valleys Project and the Global Bee Foundation. In addition, local groups like Cotswold Canals Trust, Stroud Communty Agriculture, St Augustine’s Farm, Oak and Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre and Walking the Land. Individuals too, including Iain Green, an international wildlife photographer.

The Amateur Entomological Society was also present and member MIke Mcrae, who also happens to be Head Groundsman at Stratford Park, held a moth catching event later the same night. GRASP (Great Apes Survival Partnership), brought an international interest to the Festival.

Most, if not all, promised to return this year. We already have interest from other groups as well, keen to take part. You can be a part of the Festival also, simply by turning up. If you would like to be a part in some
other way, get in touch.
